Rodalistar Agro Producer Company Limited is run out of Chitta Ranjan Sarmah’s place. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us handling the agro side of things. It’s mostly about coordinating with local growers and making sure the products are handled right. Chitta Ranjan Sarmah handles a lot of the coordination from his home. It’s not a formal corporate environment at all. You might find us sitting around a wooden table covered in papers and soil. We focus on agro products because that’s what the land around here supports. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the work gets done and the people involved are treated fairly. Sometimes the logistics of moving goods can be a real headache, but we manage. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment in the office, just the basics to keep things running. Most of the real action happens out in the fields or at the collection points. We don't do much in the way of promotion. People know Chitta Ranjan and they know the work we do. It’s a very local operation. We take things as they come and don't try to plan too far ahead because nature doesn't always follow a plan. It’s just us, working with the earth and trying to keep the business side of things from getting too complicated. That is the honest truth of how we run things.
