Time Kids

Time Kids is a small place located at 74-8-12 in Prakash Nagar. Since it’s a preschool, the whole building is usually covered in some kind of art project or stray toys. Rajahmundry is a busy city, but our little corner in Prakash Nagar stays relatively calm, except when the kids are outside playing. The rooms are bright, though they often get messy within ten minutes of the children arriving. We don’t have any fancy corporate speeches to give. We just spend our days making sure the little ones are safe and have something to do. The staff consists of local people who live nearby and know the families around here. We have some plastic slides and small tables that have seen a lot of spills over the months. The floor usually has a bit of sand or glitter on it, no matter how much we sweep. Parents drop their kids off on their way to work and pick them up later in the afternoon. It’s a simple cycle. We handle the crying and the laughter and everything in between. The gate is kept locked for safety, so people have to ring the bell to get in. It’s a tight-knit little spot. We don't have a big staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from fixing a toy to cleaning up a snack-time mess. That is just how we operate here every day in Rajahmundry.
