Eency Weency Pre School

If you walk down Nageswara Rao Street in Ramaraopeta, you’ll see our little place at 10-5-42/1. Eency Weency Pre School is exactly what it sounds like—a small place for the little ones. Kakinada has a lot of schools, but we are tucked away on this residential street, which makes it feel a bit safer for the small kids. The building is bright, and we’ve painted some things on the walls to make it look cheerful, though the paint is peeling a bit in the corners. You can hear the kids singing their rhymes or playing from the street. It’s never really quiet here until after the kids go home at noon. We have a lot of plastic toys and small chairs that we have to keep organized, though they usually end up all over the floor by mid-morning. The teachers here are used to the noise and the occasional crying. We don't have a big playground, just a small area where they can move around. Parents usually just walk their kids to the gate and have a quick chat with us before heading to work. We spend our time teaching them the alphabet and how to share. It’s a lot of work looking after toddlers, and we go home pretty tired. We don’t have a fancy office; it’s just a desk near the door where we keep the register. It’s a simple, local pre-school for the neighborhood families.
