Driver

I'm Prasad Babu. People here in Nagaram know me as Venkata Rao’s son. I live in this part of the Mamidikuduru Mandal in East Godavari, and I’ve stayed here my whole life. My business is just called Driver. I don’t have a big office or anything like that, just my house and the car. Most days I’m out on the roads. I know the 533 247 area like the back of my hand because I’ve driven it for so many years. It isn’t a fancy life, but I enjoy the quiet of the drive and meeting folks who need to get somewhere. Some roads in Andhra Pradesh are better than others, you know how it is. I just take it slow when the potholes get bad. I don't use a lot of fancy maps on a phone; I usually just know the way. If you’re looking for someone local who doesn’t charge a fortune and shows up on time, that’s just me. My father taught me to be reliable. I keep the car in decent shape and try to keep it clean, though the dust around here makes that hard sometimes. Mostly I drive neighbors or people who are coming to the Mandal for some official work. I’m usually around the house if I’m not out on a call. It’s a simple business, just one man and his vehicle doing what needs to be done every day. I like the work.
