Madhuvan Cement

We’ve been running Madhuvan Cement here in Village Kansari for a while now. It’s right near the Una Railway Station, so you can usually hear the trains going by while we work. The Somnath District weather keeps us on our toes, especially when we are trying to keep the stock dry. It’s just a regular yard where we unload bags and keep things moving for the local builders. My cousin helps me out with the orders most days. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk and some chairs where we sit and talk to people who come by. It gets quite dusty around here because of the cement, but that is just part of the job. Most of our day is spent checking the inventory and making sure the trucks can get in and out of the narrow space near the station. People from all over Una stop by when they are fixing up their houses or starting new projects in the village. We know most of the faces around here by now. Sometimes the rain makes the road a bit muddy, which makes loading the heavy bags a real pain, but we manage somehow. It’s a simple life running a business in this part of the world. We just try to keep enough stock so that when someone shows up, we actually have what they need. It isn't much, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening.
