Our office is in Veraval, located at the Indian Rayon Officers Quarters, No. 1/4. We are right opposite Hotel Mahuram, which is a well-known landmark in this area. Being in an officers' quarter means the surroundings are relatively calm compared to the busy port areas of the town. We handle the coordination for Ambuja Cement Ltd. from this spot. The sea isn’t too far away, so you can sometimes feel that salty air, though mostly we just deal with the heat. The office is basically a converted residential space, so it has a lived-in, comfortable feel. We have our desks set up in what used to be a living room. It’s where we do all the typing, the phone calls, and the bookkeeping. There’s a small porch out front where we sometimes take a quick break. We don't have a big corporate sign, just a small one so people know where we are. Most of our day is spent talking to the transport teams and the factory staff. It’s a steady kind of job, and we’ve become part of the local landscape over time. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a high-end office; we just want to get the numbers right and ensure the cement reaches the customers on time. It’s a simple, honest way to run things in this part of Gujarat. We keep our heads down and do our work until the day is done.
