P. Naresh Cutlery

Running P. Naresh Cutlery out of Flat No. 401 in Mannat Ambassy is a bit different than having a big factory floor. We are right there in Ashok Nagar, and being on the fourth floor means we see a lot of what’s happening on Pal Link Road. It is a busy street and the noise of the horns never really stops until late at night. Our space is filled with samples and boxes of cutlery. Sometimes it feels more like a storage room than an office, but we managed to carve out a spot for the desks. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking through inventory to make sure everything is where it should be. The elevator in the building can be a bit slow, so we end up taking the stairs more often than we’d like when we’re in a hurry. It is not a fancy corporate setup. We have a small kettle for making coffee and the chairs don't all match. We focus on the knives, forks, and spoons that we deal with every day. People sometimes get confused finding a business in a residential-looking building like Mannat Ambassy, but once they get to 401, they see we are serious about the work. It is a humble way to run things, but it works for us. We just keep track of the boxes and make sure they get where they need to go on time.
