Shapes N Sizes

Operating out of 35-B in the Heavy Industrial Area means dealing with a lot of noise and big trucks passing by all day. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it suits what we do at Shapes N Sizes. Most of our day is spent looking at dimensions and making sure things actually fit together like they are supposed to. We have been in this spot for a while, and you get used to the smell of metal and machinery after the first week. The workshop floor is always a bit cluttered, no matter how much we try to sweep up at the end of the shift. It’s honest work, mostly just cutting and measuring stuff to specific requirements. We don't have a big front office or a receptionist; usually, you just walk in and find whoever isn't busy with a machine. The heavy industrial zone is a bit out of the way, so we mostly talk to drivers and suppliers coming in and out. Sometimes the heat in the summer gets a bit much under the roof, but we keep the fans going and get on with it. It’s about the physical reality of the materials we handle. We don’t really do fancy presentations. If someone wants to see what we are making, they just come over to the bench. It is a straightforward way to earn a living, and we like the simple routine of it.
