You can find us at Shanti Sadan, right opposite the M.G. Hospital wholesale medical market. Being in this part of town means it's always crowded with people looking for supplies and medicines. Our building is an older one, but it has character and keeps us right in the thick of the action. We handle various goods and equipment that come through the market. The mornings are usually the loudest when the tempos are unloading right outside our door. We don't have a modern showroom or anything like that. It’s mostly shelves, boxes, and a couple of desks where we write out the bills. My father started this business, and we’ve just kept it going the same way. We know the doctors and the shopkeepers in the area by name. Sometimes we stand out on the pavement just to catch a breath of air when the office feels too cramped. The medical market is a fast-paced place, and you have to be quick to keep up. We don't bother with marketing slogans. People know where we are if they need something. We use an old ledger for some things and a computer for others. It’s a mix of the old ways and the new. We just try to get the orders right and keep the stock moving through Shanti Sadan every day. The tea guy comes around at four, and that is usually the best part of the afternoon when we all take a five-minute break to sit on the crates.
