Govind Hotel

Govind Hotel is right on Station Road, which is pretty much the busiest street you can find in this area. We are located directly in front of the Main GPO, so everyone knows where to find us. Being near the railway station means there is always a crowd passing by. You hear the trains and the whistles all day and night. It’s a bit dusty outside because of all the construction and the traffic, but that’s just Jodhpur for you. We opened up here because it seemed like a good spot for people coming off the trains who need a rest. We have a few rooms and a place to eat. It’s nothing like those big five-star hotels you see in magazines. We just provide a place to stay and some food. The morning starts early with tea for the travelers catching the first trains. My father used to run things, but now I handle most of the daily stuff with a couple of helpers. We spend a lot of time cleaning the floors because of all the boots coming in from the street. The GPO building across from us is quite old and has a lot of character. Sometimes we just sit outside on a bench when it’s quiet and watch the people go by. It’s a simple life, honestly. We don't have any big plans, just keeping the place going and making sure the guests have what they need. It gets very hot in the summer, so we do our best.
