Park Plaza Hotel

You can find us at Jhalamand House, right on Airport Road. Being a hotel, we see a lot of people coming and going at all hours. We aren't trying to be some mega-luxury chain that feels cold and empty. We’re just a local spot where people can stay when they’re traveling. The staff here at Park Plaza Hotel mostly live nearby. We know the area well. Sometimes the lobby gets a bit crowded when a flight lands, and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the clock ticking. We spend a lot of time making sure the rooms are tidy and the kitchen is ready for breakfast. It’s not always perfect; sometimes a lightbulb goes out or the Wi-Fi acts a bit funny, but we jump on it as soon as we can. We like being near the airport because it keeps things interesting. You meet folks from all over. We don't have a big fancy philosophy about hospitality. We just think people want a clean bed and a friendly face when they arrive. It’s a straightforward job. We take care of the building, look after the guests, and try to make sure everything runs smoothly day to day. The view from the upper windows is mostly just the road and some trees, but it’s our view. We’ve had some of the same guests stay with us for years whenever they fly into town. It feels good to see a familiar face in the lobby. It’s just us doing our best on Airport Road.
