Kelrugji Hotel, Jaipur

Kelrugji Hotel is located on Ram Dev Street in the Naya Bas area, near Manak Chowk. It’s actually in Jodhpur, despite the name on our papers. This part of the city is very traditional. We aren't one of those massive five-star resorts with a thousand rooms. It’s a smaller hotel where things are a bit more personal. The street outside is always full of life, and the sounds of the city are part of the experience here. We spend our days making sure the rooms are ready and the guests have what they need. It’s a lot of laundry and cleaning and making sure the kitchen is stocked. The building has that old Jodhpur feel to it, which we like. We don't have a marketing department to write fancy descriptions. We just tell people we have beds and a roof and we’re right in the middle of Naya Bas. Sometimes things break and we have to fix them quickly. It's a hands-on kind of place. The staff here has been with us for a long time. We know the local shopkeepers and where to get the best tea nearby. It’s a simple operation. We just try to keep the place running and make sure people feel okay during their stay. If you find yourself in the Manak Chowk area, you'll probably walk right past us without noticing. It’s just a regular hotel for regular travelers visiting Rajasthan.
