Borana & Company

Our office is tucked away on Palace Road near the Umaid Bhawan. It’s an old area and the building has seen better days, but it works for what we do at Borana & Company. Most mornings start with the sound of the traffic outside and the heat creeping into the rooms. We handle a lot of paperwork here. It’s mostly files piled up on desks and the sound of old fans whirring overhead. We have been in this spot for a long time. It’s a practical setup, nothing too modern or shiny. You’ll see us drinking tea and talking about the day’s tasks around ten o'clock. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have known each other for years. Sometimes the computers are slow and we have to wait, so we just talk about the news or the local weather. The address is easy to find if you know the landmark, but the entrance is a bit small. We spend our time checking figures and making sure the records are in order. It’s not the kind of job that gets a lot of attention, but it’s steady. We prefer it this way. No one is wearing a suit here unless they really have to. We just show up, do the work, and go home to our families when the sun starts to set over the palace. It isn't a flashy life, but it pays the bills.
