Sona Brick

Our place is in Brajarajnagar, right on the Main Road. We are very close to Gandhi Chowk, which is a spot that is almost always crowded with people and scooters. You can hear the horns honking all day long from our yard. Sona Brick has been operating here for a while. We have a lot of space for the kiln and the areas where we lay the bricks out. The ground is often covered in a layer of red dust. It is a busy spot because of the location. People are always stopping their bikes to ask about what we have or just to say hello on their way to the market. We do not have a polished way of doing things. We just show up and work. The sun can be brutal in the afternoon, so we try to get the heaviest lifting done early in the morning. The guys who work here are mostly from the nearby streets. We eat our lunch together under the shade of a big tree near the main entrance. It is not a corporate office; it is just a working brick yard. We deal with mud and coal every single day. Sometimes the trucks get stuck if the ground is soft from the rain, and we all have to go out and help push. It is just the way it goes. If you need us, just head toward Gandhi Chowk and look for the stacks.
