Siddhi Vinayak Bricks Industry

Siddhi Vinayak Bricks Industry is out in Village Pudhipattar, near Tattapani. It is a very quiet part of the countryside, which we like. The ground here is good for making bricks, and we spend most of our time out in the fields managing the clay and the water. It’s a slow process and you can't really rush it. We have a small group of workers from the local village who help us out with everything. During the peak season, the kilns are always burning and there is a constant smell of smoke in the air. We don't have much in the way of modern technology. Most of what we do is based on what we’ve learned from our fathers and neighbors over the years. We don't have a formal office, just a small room where we keep our logbooks and some basic tools. People come from the surrounding areas to buy in bulk for their construction projects. We don't do any big advertising; we just rely on people knowing where we are. Sometimes the roads to Pudhipattar get muddy and hard to navigate, but we manage to get the trucks through somehow. It’s a tough way to make a living, but it feels good to see the houses being built with our bricks. We just take it one day at a time and do the best we can with the materials the earth gives us.
