Ashok Bricks

We’ve been here at Vrajraj Nagar for quite a while now. If you head down toward Gandhi Chowk, you’ll find us right near the Neo Heights building. It’s a busy spot around the Krishna Center, lots of people moving about all day. My father started this whole thing with the bricks, and I just sort of took over when he got too old to deal with the heavy lifting and the dust. Most days start pretty early, around five or six, depending on how much we need to get loaded onto the trucks. It’s not a fancy place, just a yard with stacks of bricks everywhere you look. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, like when the rains come and everything turns to mud, but we manage to keep things moving. We don't have a big office or anything, just a small room where we keep the books and take calls. Most of the people around here know us because we’ve been at this same spot for years. You see the same faces every morning when the tea stall opens up across the road. We just focus on getting the orders out and making sure the stacks are ready. It’s honest work, even if it gets a bit tiring in the summer heat. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to keep the gates open and the workers busy. That’s pretty much how we spend our time here. It’s simple enough.
