We are over at 108, Matel Dham Appartment. It is right opposite the Jamnagar Dairy on Saru Section Road. If you know Jamnagar, you know it can get busy around the dairy. Reliance Engineering Associates Pvt. Ltd., Jamnagar, Gujarat is basically just a few of us in this office space. It’s not a huge place, just a regular flat turned into a workspace. We have some desks, some old files, and a lot of tea going most days. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it works for us. Getting here is easy enough once you find the apartment building. The stairs are a bit narrow, so we usually take the lift if it’s working. Most of our time is spent looking at drawings or talking on the phone with people about parts and sites. It gets quiet in the afternoons when the sun is hitting the windows, but things pick up again later. We don’t have any fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. It’s just us. We’ve been here in Gujarat for a while now and we know the neighbors pretty well. Sometimes we hear the noise from the dairy trucks, but you get used to it after a week or two. We just try to keep things organized and get through the pile of work on our desks before the day ends. It’s a simple setup but it’s home for the business.
