This is Ashutoshmatai, located at 40-A Extn. in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. I’ve been in this spot for several years now. Gandhi Nagar is one of those places that feels familiar to everyone who lives in Jammu. The office is part of an extension, so it’s a bit of a unique space. It isn't a modern glass building. It’s more like a traditional office with heavy wooden desks and a lot of paper around. I like the feel of it. It’s solid. The weather in Jammu can be quite extreme, so we spend a lot of time either running the fans or trying to stay warm. I manage the day-to-day stuff myself. I never really saw the point in hiring a huge staff when I can do most of it with just a bit of help from time to time. It’s a practical way to work. People know they can just drop by if they need to talk about something. There’s no need for formal appointments most of the time. I keep things low-key. I don't have a big sign outside or anything flashy. Just the address and my name on the door. It’s a quiet way to run a business, and it suits my personality. I’m not interested in being the biggest company in town, I just want to do my part and go home at the end of the day to my family.
