This is my place at 158/2 in Shant Nagar, over in the Old Janipur area of Jammu. It’s a traditional neighborhood where everyone knows their neighbors. I run things from here, so it’s half-office and half-home. You’ll find me at my desk most mornings, usually with a cup of chai. It’s not a big commercial building with a lobby. Instead, you just come to the house. I handle a variety of local tasks and paperwork for people. The room I use is filled with books and old files I’ve kept over the years. It gets a bit dusty, but I like the feel of it. Outside, the street is narrow, and you can hear the kids playing or the vendors shouting. It’s a very different vibe from the new parts of the city. I’ve lived in Janipur for a long time, so I’m used to the rhythm of the place. My setup is simple: a computer, a printer, and some comfortable chairs for whoever stops by. We talk about the news or the local weather before getting down to whatever needs doing. It’s a relaxed way of working. I don't have a staff, just myself. People stop by because they know where I am and that I’ve been here for years. It’s honest work done in a place that feels like home. I don't need a fancy sign outside to let people know I'm here.
