About Jully Gammon India – Tourism in Jammu & Kashmir
We've been based out here in Sangaldan for a while now, working alongside the Afcons team. It's a rugged part of Udhampur, so things aren't always easy with the weather and the roads, but we get on with it. Most days involve coordinating gear and making sure the site work keeps moving. People usually find us near the main project hub. It is a lot of hands-on stuff. We don't spend much time in fancy offices because the real work is out there in the dirt and the concrete. If you are looking for us, we are right by the Afcons Infrastructure spot in the district. It’s a busy place with trucks coming and going all the time. Our crew is mostly local folks and some who traveled for the job. We share tea, talk about the day’s progress, and try to finish before the light goes. It's not glamorous, but it’s what we do. The mountains around here are something else, but they make for a tough workplace. Sometimes the supplies are late, or the rain stops us, yet we find ways to stay busy. Being part of the infrastructure build in Jammu means a lot of physical labor. We have a small setup here just to handle the daily tasks. It's basic, just desks and some files, but it works for what we need. You see us in our boots more than anything else. Just a group of people trying to do their part in this big project.
