Maa Kamakhya Tourism

Over on Njp Station Road in the Bhaktinagar area, you will find Maa Kamakhya Tourism. Since we are so close to the station, it is always hectic around here. You have the trains coming in and people rushing around with their bags. Our office is right in the middle of all that action. It’s not a quiet place by any means. We spend our time talking to travelers who just got off the train or are waiting for their next one. The Bhaktinagar part of Siliguri has its own vibe, very different from the main market area. We have been operating out of this spot for a while now. The room is small and we mostly just have the essentials like a few desks and some files. Most days, we are just trying to keep track of where the cars are going and making sure the drivers know their routes. Sometimes the rain makes the road outside a bit messy, which is common for this part of West Bengal. We see people from all over who are heading up to the hills or into the plains. It is interesting to see who comes through, though it can be tiring when the station gets really crowded during the holiday seasons. We just keep doing our work, answering the phone, and helping people figure out their transport. It’s a straightforward business and we stay busy enough without needing to do much else but show up and work every morning.
