Himalayan Tourism

Himalayan Tourism is located over in Desh Bandhu Para, specifically on Kanica Bandhyopadhay Sarani. It’s a bit of a mouthful of a street name, but we are right near Gopal More, so most locals find us without any trouble. This part of Siliguri has a different feel compared to the main junction, and we like it that way. We’ve been handling tourism stuff for a good number of years. It started small and stayed that way because we prefer dealing with people face-to-face. Our daily routine involves checking on hotel availabilities and talking to drivers. There is always someone dropping in for a chat about the weather up in the hills or how the roads are looking. We don’t have a big team or anything, just a few of us who know the area well. The office is simple and functional. Being near Gopal More means we get a lot of locals who are planning their own family holidays. We try to keep things straightforward. If a road is blocked or a hotel is full, we just say so. There’s no point in sugarcoating things when it comes to travel in this region. It’s a busy life but we enjoy the pace of it. You won't find any glossy brochures with fake photos here, just honest talk about what to expect when you head out. We keep our paperwork organized but the desk is usually a bit messy with notes and tea cups from the morning.
