We are based in Dhamangaon, which is a village in the Partur area of Jalna. Our group meets at Baban Maroti Pawar’s place. He is one of us and has been farming here for a long time. Mahasheti Agrotech sounds like a big name, but we are just a small group of neighbors who wanted to do things differently. In Jalna, we have to be very careful with water because it doesn't always rain when you need it to. We grow things like oranges or seasonal grains. Some days the sun is so hot you can't stand it, but the work has to be done anyway. We aren't experts with degrees; we are experts of the land we have walked on our whole lives. Forming this company was a way for us to stick together. When one of us has a problem with pests or needs a certain tool, we talk about it. It makes the burden a bit lighter. We don't have a polished story to tell you. We just have our fields and our families. Every morning we get up and go out to see what needs doing. We are honest people trying to make the most of what we have. If you come by Dhamangaon, you will see us working or sitting under a tree during the afternoon heat. It is a simple way of living and we are just trying to keep it going.
