Lad Agro Producer Company Limited is based out of Shevta, which is a small village in the Ambad taluka of Jalna district. If you are looking for us, we are right at House Number 331. It’s a quiet place where we get our work done. We decided to start this company because working alone as farmers was getting difficult with all the changes in the markets. In Shevta, most of us have been farming for generations, so we know the land pretty well. The office at House 331 is where we keep our papers and meet up to talk about what needs doing next. It's a plain building, nothing special to look at, but it serves us well. Jalna is known for its agriculture, and being in the Ambad area means we see a lot of different crops through the year. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just trying to pool our resources so we can get a fair shake. People around the village drop by often to see how things are going with the company. It’s run by local people who understand the struggle of a bad harvest or a good monsoon. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who look after the daily bits and pieces. It’s mostly about helping each other out with the harvest and making sure we can sell what we grow. It's basic work, done by people who live right here in Shevta.
