The work happens out of G No 90 Hawatan, which is where Udhav Tulshiram Donga stays. If you know the Jalna area, you know the soil can be a bit stubborn sometimes. We started Arohi Grower Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited because we were tired of being the last ones to find out about new seeds or tools. It is just a group of us from around the village who decided to put our names on paper together. It started as a few neighbors talking over tea, and then it turned into this company. We don't have a polished business plan or anything like that. Mostly, we are just focused on how to get our produce from the field to the buyer without losing too much money in the middle. Dealing with the agents at the mandi is always a struggle, so we try to help each other out there. The office is really just a room where we keep our records and meet when the sun goes down. People around here work hard, from early morning until late evening. Sometimes the crops are good, and sometimes the pests get to them first. We just take it day by day. It’s not always pretty, and the paperwork can be a real mess, but it’s our way of staying independent. We just want to make sure the families in Hawatan can keep farming. There is always something that needs fixing on a farm, so we help where we can.
