Ardad Raje Agro Producer Company Limited is based in K.P.Gaon, which is out in the Ghansawangi area of Jalna district. You can find us at House No. 405. We are a group of farmers who live right here in the village. This area can be pretty dry and the farming isn't always easy, so we decided that forming this company was the best way for us to stay afloat. We basically work together to buy the things we need, like fertilizers and better seeds, which helps keep our costs down. It’s a lot of work and we don't really have weekends or holidays in the way people in the city do. We meet up when the sun goes down to talk about how the crops are looking and what the prices are doing at the local markets. It’s not a fancy business; it’s more like a neighborhood collective where everyone has a say. We’ve all known each other for years, so we trust one another to get the work done. Sometimes the harvest is great and sometimes it’s a struggle, but having the company means we aren't facing the bad times alone. We’re just trying to keep the tradition of farming alive in Jalna and make sure our families are taken care of through our own hard work and a bit of cooperation. It's not always perfect but it is what we know best.
