Ajintha Verul Farmers Producer Companylimited is our name, and we are based in Chikangaon. That's in the Ambad taluka. We are located at the care-of address of Laxman Labde. We took our name from the famous caves nearby because they are a big part of our local pride. We are a group of farmers who decided that working together was better than working alone. It’s tough to make a living in agriculture these days, so we pool our resources to get better deals on seeds or to find better markets for our crops. We don't have a big, polished office in a city. We are right here in the village. Most of our meetings happen in the fields or at the house in Chikangaon. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation. We just want to help our local farming community in Ambad. We don't use a lot of fancy business talk. We just discuss what needs to be done for the upcoming season. It’s honest, hard work, and we take it one day at a time. Sometimes the rains don't come when we need them, and sometimes the prices are not what we hoped for, but we stay together as a producer company. That’s the whole idea behind why we started this. We are just regular people from the village trying to look out for each other and our families. It’s how we’ve always lived.
