Uma Shanker Rice Mills

We have been here on Kotli Road for a while now. Uma Shanker Rice Mills isn't fancy, just a place where the work gets done every day. In Mour Mandi, you get used to the dust and the sound of the trucks coming in and out. It gets pretty loud when the machines are running, but that is just how it is. People know where to find us. We mostly focus on getting the paddy sorted and processed without making a big fuss about it. The building has seen better days, but it holds up. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when it rains and the road gets muddy. But we just keep going. You might see us outside during the breaks, just taking a breath before the next load comes in. It is a lot of physical work. There are no fancy offices or people in suits here. We deal with farmers and drivers all day. Most of them have been coming to this part of Mour Mandi for years. We know the neighbors on Kotli Road pretty well. It's a busy spot, especially during the harvest season. That is when things really pick up and we barely have time to sit down. We don't spend much time worrying about how the place looks from the outside. As long as the rice is moving and the gates stay open, we are doing alright. It is just a regular life here at the mill.
