Shivalik Hills Sen Sec Public School

If you head over to 1 Shivalik Enclave in Urban Estate Phase 1, you will find Shivalik Hills Sen Sec Public School. We’ve been part of the Jalandhar area for a good while. It is a big building but it feels like a small place once you get inside and meet the staff. We spend our days making sure the kids are actually reading their textbooks and not just staring out the window. Jalandhar is a busy city, so having this space in Phase 1 is nice for the families living nearby. We have older students in the senior secondary levels and the younger ones too, so there is always a mix of ages running around. Sometimes it gets a little loud when the classes change, but that’s expected. We don't really do the whole polished corporate thing here. Most of us have been working in education for years and we just want to see these kids finish their schooling and move on to whatever is next for them. The classrooms are basic but they work fine. We have a playground where the kids spend their breaks, and you can usually hear them from the street. Our address is 144002 if you’re looking us up on a map. We just keep our heads down and do the work of teaching every day. It’s a simple setup but it serves the neighborhood well and we like being here.
