Saffron Public School

The school is right on Khothra Rd. We've been here in Phagwara quite a while now. Most days start early when the yellow buses pull in from Kapurthala and the kids start piling out. It's noisy, but it’s a good kind of noise that tells you the day has started. The teachers here mostly live nearby in the local area, so we know most of the families by their first names. The classrooms are just normal rooms, nothing too fancy, but we try to keep them clean and bright. We spend a lot of time out on the playground when the weather isn't too hot to handle. Sometimes the traffic on the road gets a bit loud, but you honestly get used to it after working here for a week or two. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. It's just us doing the work every day. Parents come by to talk about their kids, usually just standing in the hallway or sitting in the small office. We try to keep things simple and honest here. There’s a lot of paperwork to deal with, like any school, but the main thing is just getting through the lessons. The building itself has seen a lot of students come and go over the years. We have some old trees in the yard that provide good shade during the afternoon break. It’s a busy place, especially around exam time.
