G D Goenka International School is found in Eldeco Greens on Nakodar Road. We are in the Jalandhar City area with the 144001 zip code. The location is quite nice and it is a bit quieter than the middle of the city. We have a large building that houses all our classrooms and offices. It has been our home for a good number of years now. Every morning the road gets busy with cars and buses, but we have a system to get everyone inside quickly. We do not go for fancy language or corporate branding. We are just a group of people working together to run a school. The staff spend their days in the classrooms and their breaks in the small lounge we have. We do not have a lot of extra frills or expensive decor. The walls are covered with student work and some old maps. It is a very lived-in space. We have a playground where the kids can get some fresh air. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just have to open the windows and keep going with the lessons. It is just a part of life here. We do not make big promises, we just show up and do the work. Most of our students come from the local families who want a steady place for their kids. We just keep things simple and honest.
