About Cambridge International School – Education in Jalandhar
We’ve been here on Palahi Road for a while now. Most people in Phagwara know where we are, right near the main stretch. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when the kids start arriving and the buses line up. The building itself is just a regular place where we spend most of our daylight hours. We see the same faces every day, from the rickshaw drivers outside to the parents who stop for a quick chat at the gate. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with all the shouting during recess, but that is just how things go in a school. Our classrooms are simple, filled with desks and old cupboards that have been here since the start. We spend a lot of time cleaning up after the rainy season because the mud gets everywhere around here. The staff room is usually a bit messy with papers and half-empty tea cups. We don't have fancy decorations, just some student drawings on the walls. Phagwara weather can be tough, either really hot or quite chilly, and we just manage through it. There is always someone fixing a leaky tap or painting a bench. It is a lot of work keeping a place like this running day in and day out. We just show up, do what needs to be done, and wait for the bell to ring at the end of the day. It’s not a complicated life here on Palahi Road, just a steady one.
