Ramesh Rice Mills

Ramesh Rice Mills is in Village Chuharpur. We are lucky to be located near Santa Da Gurudwara, which makes it very easy for people to find us. You can often hear the prayers or the music from the Gurudwara while we are working in the yard, and it brings a bit of peace to the busy day. Village Chuharpur is a good place to be. The mill itself is not very new, but it does what it is supposed to do. We have a lot of old equipment that we’ve repaired so many times we know every bolt and screw by heart. The yard is usually full of grain spread out to dry or bags piled high waiting for the next truck. We don’t have a website or any of that stuff. Most people just know us because we have been here in Chuharpur for so long. Ramesh started this place with just a couple of machines, and we have just kept it going since then. It is a lot of sweat and a lot of long hours, especially during the harvest. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the weather because that’s what matters most in this business. We are just a simple operation near the Gurudwara, trying to do our part and stay out of trouble. It’s hard to believe how many years have passed since the first bag was loaded here, but the routine stays the same.
