Prime Public School

You can find us at 6-A in Friends Colony, which is part of the Sas Nagar Extension over near Model Town in Jalandhar. It’s a fairly well-known part of town. The school sits on a street that gets a bit narrow when all the parents arrive at the same time. We’ve been running this public school for a while, focusing on the kids who live in this side of Jalandhar. The building has a few floors and we’ve tried to make the most of the space we have. There’s a small play area, though it’s not as big as some might like. Inside, the corridors are usually filled with the sound of teachers talking and students shuffling their papers. We don't really do anything flashy here. It’s just about getting the students through their daily classes and making sure they understand their books. Jalandhar can be quite dusty, so we’re always sweeping the front steps. The rooms have basic furniture and the windows let in some decent light during the day. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we know the families around Friends Colony pretty well by now. It’s a practical place for education without any of the extra bells and whistles. We just open the gates every morning and get to work with the students who show up. It's a steady routine for everyone involved, and we just keep it moving one day at a time.
