Polar Genetics India is located on the second floor of Sco-4 in the Mini Market of Model Town. Being in a Mini Market means there is always something going on downstairs—people buying groceries, kids playing, or someone getting their scooter fixed. You have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to us. We deal with genetics, which sounds very complicated and scientific, and I guess it is, but our day-to-day life is quite ordinary. We have a few lab setups and a lot of storage for samples. It’s a clean space, but it’s not some sterile, futuristic laboratory you see in movies. It’s a working office where we keep track of breeding lines and data for our clients. The second-floor view gives us a good look at the market activity, which is a nice break from looking at charts all day. We aren't a big company with hundreds of employees. We are a small group of specialists who know our stuff and don't feel the need to use big words to prove it. Sometimes we have to stay late to monitor a shipment or finish a report, but that’s just part of the job. Model Town is a friendly place to work, and we’ve become part of the furniture here over the years. Most people in the building know us as the "genetics folks" on the top floor. It is just where we do our research and keep things moving.
