If you drive down Theing Road in Phillaur, you’ll find us at Mrs Bector'S Foods Specialties Ltd. We have a lot of history in this town, and many of the people who work here grew up just a few miles away. It is a food business, so cleanliness and keeping things moving are the main priorities. The air around the facility often smells like baking or cooking, depending on what we are doing that day. We aren't a corporate office in a big city skyscraper. We are right here on the ground in Punjab. The pace can be fast, especially when we have big orders to get out for the season. We don't have time for long meetings or fancy presentations. We just talk across the floor or meet in the breakroom. Everyone here has a specific job, and they just get on with it. We’ve seen the company grow over the years, but the core of what we do hasn't changed much. We focus on the food and making sure it is something we’d be happy to have on our own tables. It is a bit noisy with the machines, and there are always trucks lined up outside on the road. We are just a local bunch of people doing our best to run a solid food business. Phillaur is a quiet place otherwise, but we keep things busy here on Theing Road. It’s just daily life for us and we enjoy the work.
