You can find us up on the first floor at Shop No 3 in the Main Market on Garha Road. We’re right near the Bank of India, which is easy for most people to spot. The stairs up to the shop are a bit narrow, but once you’re inside, it’s a whole different world from the busy street below. We do hair and beauty stuff for both men and women. It gets quite loud in here with the hair dryers going and everyone talking at once. Besides the regular haircuts, we also have students here learning the trade because we run an academy too. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when we have a full class and customers waiting at the same time. The mirrors always need cleaning and there’s usually hair on the floor that we’re trying to sweep up between appointments. We’ve been in Jalandhar City for a while and the Garha Road market is always buzzing with activity. We don't have fancy brochures; people just see our sign or hear about us from their neighbors. Some days are more chaotic than others, especially during wedding season when everyone wants their hair done at once. We just do our best to keep up with the flow. It’s a busy life, but it’s good to see people leaving with a fresh look. We just try to get through the day one client at a time and keep the shop running.
