Computer Faculty In Senior Sec School(Punjab Govt)

I’m Vikas Pathak and I’ve been working at this government school for a while now. Sheikhupur is a quiet place, just a village out in the Nawanshar district of Punjab. My days usually start with the commute here. Most of the kids don't have computers at home, so the lab is where everything happens for them. It’s not a fancy setup, just some older machines and basic desks, but it gets the job done. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit and talk about how things work theoretically until the power comes back. I try to keep the kids interested in how the internet works and how they can use it for more than just games. The school is part of the Punjab government system, so we follow the rules they set, but I like to add a bit of my own way of teaching so they don’t get bored. There is always some paperwork to do for the department too. Living and working here means you know everyone in the village. It’s a bit dusty in the summer and cold in the winter, but that’s just how it is here. I don't really have a big team or anything, it’s mostly just me looking after the lab and making sure the students learn something useful before they head home to help their families. It's regular work, nothing too flashy, but it feels okay to see a kid finally understand how to type a document.
