Creative Touch Hair & Beauty Academy

This place is on the first floor, number 779 in Mota Singh Nagar. Being so close to the Jalandhar bus stand means students can come in from the nearby villages easily. We started Creative Touch Hair & Beauty Academy because many people wanted to learn how to cut hair properly. It's not just a salon, we spend most of the day showing girls how to hold the scissors or mix the colors. The rooms have mirrors everywhere. It can get noisy with all the blow dryers going at once. We teach basic facials and how to do bridal hair. Some of our students travel an hour just to get here. Jalandhar is a busy city and there are many shops, but we focus on the learning part. Sometimes the floor gets covered in hair by noon and we have to sweep up twice. We aren't trying to be a big fancy college, just a place to pick up a trade. Most of the girls who finish here go on to open their own small shops in their homes. We give them a place to practice without worrying too much about making mistakes at first. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, but everyone manages. We drink a lot of tea while we work through the lessons. It's a good way to spend the day, helping people learn a skill and make something of themselves.
