Goverment Secondary Senior Indian School is located right in Village Phagwara. We are in the Kapurthala tehsil, and the easiest way to find us is by looking for the bus stand. Being near the bus stand means there is a lot of noise from the engines and people shouting, but we’ve all gotten used to it. The school is a large government building that has seen many years of students. It’s a sturdy place with thick walls and high ceilings. The yard is quite big, which is good for the students because they have plenty of room to run around. Phagwara is a busy village, and our school is a central part of it. Most children come from families who have lived here for generations. We don’t have much in the way of fancy decor. It’s mostly just white-washed walls and heavy wooden furniture that lasts a long time. The office is usually busy with paperwork and people coming in to ask questions. We don't have air conditioning, just the big ceiling fans that hum all day long. In the winter, it gets a bit chilly in the rooms, so the kids wear their sweaters. We focus on the daily lessons and making sure everyone follows the schedule. It is a straightforward place where everyone knows what they are supposed to be doing. We just try to keep things moving along steadily every single day.
