Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited

If you head down Dr. B K Tripati Lane in Kanheipur, you’ll find us at Om Bhawan. We’re staying with R N Jena, which is where we set up this little branch for Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited. It’s right there on Jajpur Road. It’s more of a residential lane, so it’s not as noisy as the main highway. We have a couple of rooms where we keep our files and meet with people. It’s a very local setup. We don't have a big corporate lobby or a receptionist. Usually, if you walk in, you’ll just see one of us sitting at a desk with a stack of papers. We deal with a lot of the local suppliers and workers who live around Jajpur. It’s a lot of face-to-face talk, which we prefer over emails anyway. The building itself is just a regular house, which makes it feel a bit more relaxed. We drink a lot of tea and spend our time making sure the paperwork for the main plant is in order. It’s a small team here, so we all do a bit of everything, from answering the door to balancing the books. It’s just how things work in a place like this. We don’t make a fuss, we just get the job done. The street dogs outside know us by now and usually sleep right by our front step, which we don't mind at all. It feels like home.
