Jindal Stainless Ltd, Orissa

Our spot is in Kanaihpur, right near Jajpur Road in Orissa. You’ll find us tucked away behind the Shiv Mandir at Gangadhar Nayak’s place. Since we are part of Jindal Stainless Ltd, we handle a lot of the local tasks that come up. The temple is a big landmark, so it’s pretty easy to give directions to people. Hearing the temple bells while we work is something we’ve all grown to like. It is a very simple operation we have here. There aren't any big signs or flashy lights out front. We just focus on the stainless steel business and making sure things are moving as they should. The streets around here are kind of narrow, but people manage. We’ve been here long enough that most folks in Kanaihpur know who we are. It’s a lot of coordination and regular daily chores. We don't try to sound like a big company; we are just regular people doing a job. The weather in Orissa can be a bit much, especially in the summer, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. It’s a practical environment where the work is the main focus. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. You just come in and talk to whoever is available. It’s just how things go for us every day. There’s a lot of metal to move and plenty of logs to keep updated before we head home for the evening.
