Jindal Stainless Ltd, Hissar

We’re situated out in Sikaripur, near Jagatpur in the Cuttack district of Orissa. It’s a bit of a distance from Hissar, but we handle the Jindal Stainless work right from this spot. You can find us through Shibaji Acharya’s connection here. This specific area is where we do all our day-to-day business. It’s a very practical setup. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls. The paint is a bit old and the desks have seen better days. We focus on the steel because that’s what actually matters to our customers. We get up early every morning to beat the heat and start checking the inventory levels. It’s a lot of work to keep track of everything coming in, but we’ve got a decent system. The local people in Jagatpur know us well. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words or corporate talk. We just want to make sure the stainless steel gets where it needs to go without any trouble. Sometimes the roads around here are a bit rough, especially when the monsoon rain hits. We just deal with those things as they come. It’s just part of living and working in Orissa. We take it one day at a time. It’s an honest living for us. We’ve been at this spot for a while now and we know the area. We just keep doing what we do best, which is managing the steel business here.
