In Mahatab Nagar, right near Gosala Chhak, you’ll find our branch of Mideast Integrated Steel Ltd. It’s a very lively part of Jajpur Road. We deal with iron and steel parts all day long. It’s quite noisy because of all the trucks passing by the Chhak. We don't have a big fancy lobby or a place for visitors to wait in luxury. Most of the time, the guys are out back or checking the inventory logs. Jajpur is a place that knows steel very well, so we fit right in. The sun gets really strong here in Orissa, so the afternoons are usually slow until it cools down a bit. We use old desks and the floor is just plain concrete. It’s practical for what we do. If you need to find us, just ask for the place near the Gosala. Everyone knows the landmarks in this neighborhood. We don’t do big speeches or glossy advertisements. We just handle the steel. Some days are stressful when the transport is running late. We drink a lot of tea to stay awake during those long shifts. Our address is easy enough to find if you’re in the area. We’ve been part of the local scene for a bit now. The staff lives nearby, so we all know each other well. It feels more like a community than a corporate site. We keep our logs in big notebooks. It’s not digital for everything, which we actually prefer. That way, if the power cuts, we still know where everything is.
