Vishal Mega Mart

We start the day pretty early here at Vishal Mega Mart. Ajmer Road is usually already buzzing with cars and bikes by the time we arrive to open the shutters. Being right near Bhagwan Das Road 1 means there is always someone walking by or looking for something. Inside, it is just rows and rows of clothes and household things that need sorting all the time. Sometimes the air conditioning takes a while to kick in during the summer months, which makes the morning shift a bit sweaty. We spend a lot of time just moving boxes from the back to the shelves so everything stays full. It gets really crowded on the weekends, especially in the evenings when families come out. The floor gets messy sometimes with people trying on shoes or looking through the shirts, so we are always sweeping or tidying up. It is a big space to manage, and the staff is mostly just local people from around this part of the city. We don't have fancy office rooms or anything, just the main floor and a small spot for our lunch breaks. Most of us have been working here a while now, so we know where every single item is kept even if it looks like a lot of stuff to a stranger. It is just a regular job for us, keeping the place running and making sure the doors stay open from morning until late at night.
