Vimal Rajpurohit Photography

Vimal Rajpurohit Photography is based in Jaipur, a city that gives us plenty to look at. We spend a lot of our time out and about, but the home base is here in the city. It’s not a corporate studio with bright lights and white walls everywhere. It’s more of a lived-in space where we keep our gear and sit down to look at what we’ve shot. There are cameras and lenses scattered around on different tables, and sometimes a few stray cables on the floor that we trip over. Jaipur has a certain light to it that makes every day feel a bit different, and we try to catch that. We aren't the type to wear suits or have big meetings. Usually, we are just in jeans, drinking coffee and trying to figure out which frame looks the best. The office is often a bit messy because we are always moving from one thing to the next. We have a couple of old computers that we use for hours on end. It gets hot in the summer, so the cooler is always running. We like the city life and the way the old buildings look against the sky. It’s just us doing our thing with our cameras. No big mystery to it, just a lot of walking, looking, and clicking. We stay busy enough that the days go by pretty fast and we just keep moving to the next shoot or task without overthinking things.
