We spend most of our time out on Sirsi Road. Vijay Water Suppliers is basically just a few of us making sure people around Panchyawala 21 get what they need when the taps go dry. It is a lot of driving back and forth near Amer Meenawala. The sun gets really hot in the afternoons here. We keep the truck moving because people are waiting. Sometimes the traffic near the main turn is bad but we manage to get through. It is just basic work, really. We’ve been at this address for a while now and most people in the neighborhood know the vehicle. When you live and work around here, you see the same faces every day. We start early in the morning before the heat gets too heavy. Carrying the heavy cans is tough on the back but it is the job. Sometimes we stop for tea near the corner. It is not fancy. We just focus on getting the water to the houses and shops on time. Panchyawala is growing fast so there are always new buildings going up. We try to keep up with everyone moving in. Sirsi Road stays busy until late at night. We just go where we are told to go. Most of our day is spent looking at the road and checking the tanks. It is simple business. We stay busy through the summer especially. That is how it goes for us.
