Aarambh Better Care Service

Our office is located at 108 Sansar Chandra Road. It’s a central part of the city, so there’s always something going on right outside our door. Aarambh Better Care Service is run by a small group of us who have been in this field for a while. We aren't a big agency with hundreds of employees. We prefer it this way because we can keep track of everything ourselves without getting lost in paperwork. The office at 108 is pretty basic. We have a few desks, some filing cabinets, and a small area where we sit and talk to people. Sansar Chandra Road is always packed with traffic, so it can be a bit of a struggle for people to find parking when they come to see us. We usually tell them to park a few blocks over and walk. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating things and checking in. It’s not the kind of work that stays in the office; it follows us home sometimes. We try to keep a relaxed atmosphere here. There’s usually a packet of biscuits on the table and some tea brewing in the corner. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or corporate goals. We just want to make sure the people we look after are doing okay. It’s a lot of responsibility, but we take it one day at a time. The building is old and the lift is a bit slow.
