Our shop is at number 608 in the New Jalupura area of Shastri Nagar. We deal in all sorts of kitchenware made from steel, aluminum, and sometimes brass. The shelves are packed with everything from tiny spoons to those massive pots used for cooking at big community events. It is a bit crowded inside because we try to keep a lot of stock available for people to see. The lighting is not the best, especially towards the back where we keep the boxed items, but we know where everything is. Customers often come in and spend a lot of time picking up the pots to check their weight and quality. There is always a lot of bargaining going on, which is just part of the daily routine here. New Jalupura is a busy neighborhood, so the sound of traffic and people talking is always in the background. I usually sit on a small stool near the front when it is quiet. The floor is simple cement and we try to keep it swept, though the boxes make it difficult. We are not a high-end showroom with glass displays; we are just a regular shop where you can find good, sturdy items for your kitchen. Most of our customers have been coming to us for years and we know exactly what kind of utensils they are looking for. It is steady work from morning until we close.
