Vardhman Steel Furniture is over in Malviya Nagar at No. E-130 in Siddharth Nagar. We are right opposite the Amit Bhardwaj Petrol Pump and tucked behind the JDA flats. It’s a decent neighborhood to work in. We spend our days making all sorts of steel furniture. You can usually hear the sound of metal being cut or the sizzle of the welding torch if you walk past. The shop is full of half-finished chairs, cupboards, and benches. There is a lot of dust and the smell of paint is pretty common around here. We don’t have a big fancy showroom with bright lights. Most of our stuff is just lined up against the walls as we finish it. It’s a small operation, just a few of us who know how to work with steel. We’ve been behind these flats for a good while, and the neighbors are used to our noise. We don't use any slick marketing phrases. We just make furniture that is meant to last. Sometimes we get a bit backed up with orders and the shop looks like a total disaster, but we eventually get everything sorted out. It is hard work and our hands are usually stained with grease or soot, but it’s what we do. We just keep the doors open and get through the pile of work.
